Useful properties of spinach

The benefits of spinach are due to the composition of this vegetable, which includes: healthy folate (responsible for the normal development of tissue and blood cells), vitamin C, provitamin A, potassium, magnesium, vitamin K and carotenoids.

 Thanks to carotenoids, spinach not only maintains sharp vision for many years. Together with vitamin K, these substances prevent the destruction of bone tissue.

 Folate, which is part of spinach, has an effect on the process of hematopoiesis and cell renewal. It takes part in the prevention of strokes, thanks to the ability to normalize blood pressure and strengthen the walls of blood vessels. Folate inhibits the formation of cancerous tumors – dramatically reduces the risk of lung cancer.

 The composition of spinach also includes beta-carotene (whose benefits for heart health have already been proven), B vitamins (which are the most important participants in the breakdown of fats, proteins and carbohydrates) and fiber.

 Spinach quickly strengthens the immune system, which is useful before any serious test (whether it is a surgical operation or childbirth, departure to another climatic zone or an impending flu epidemic).
